Podcast Project

Hello everyone,

This is going to be where the podcast projects are organized. Please feel free to listen to them as they are uploaded.

The series is related to the Flagler College Theatre Department’s upcoming production of “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum,” directed by Prof. Kip Taisey.

Here is information on times, dates, location and ticket prices for the show:

A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to the Forum

This 1962 Tony Award-winning musical, inspired by the comedies of Roman playwright Plautus, features the classic comic gags that entertain all audiences. The “boy wants to get the girl next door with the help of his trusty and clever servant” plot is filled with mistaken identity, puns, chase scenes and tons of physical comedy, all tied together with Sondheim’s delightful score.

Each episode highlights a different role in the production and includes an interview with the professional involved.

The project is part of the Learning Community combining the courses Intro to Theatre and Intro to Media, led by Prof. Taisey and Jane Clifford, adjunct professor in Communication.

Discussion Question 1

Please listen to Donald Trump’s inaugural address. Then search for analysis of the speech by CNN and Fox. Compare and contrast the two commentaries. Write 350-500 words and post it to your blog.

This blog post will be in lieu of the regular blog post for this week. And you do not have to comment on a classmate’s blog this week.
